FUNDRAISING

Each year The Horticulture Club of Newtown offers an annual award to a graduating student who is a resident of Newtown and seeking to pursue a course of study in Environmental Studies, Horticulture, Agriculture, Ecology,  Conservation or Forestry.

The history of the club has been to allocate an award from $500 to $1,000 per student annually; the amount of the award is determined by the scholarship committee and the President.

HCN Valentine Fundraiser 2022

This is the first HCN fundraiser for 2022.

The Fascia sales brochure and our customized order form are included with this email, so you can plan for your gift giving.  The US Postal mailing will include these two items, a flyer outlining the key reasons to support our Club along with a self-addressed stamped envelope with Mike Wicki’s address: 36 Obtuse Rd, Newtown, CT 06470.

Mike will be in-charge of the fundraiser and he will coordinate and consolidate the orders.  Joan will provide a single HCN check for payment to Fascia’s. Call Mike at 203-364-7863 if you no longer use checks and want to pay in cash. Mike will pick up our Club order, redistribute into individual orders and have them ready for pickup Thursday February 10th (weather permitting). We are looking into the Meeting House as the pick-up point. Other delivery options are possible.

We will need to receive your order and payment no later than by January 31, 2022 to be included in the fundraiser.

We are hoping with everyone’s support that this will be a successful fundraiser to increase our funds so that we can again offer scholarships and to help subsidize club activities. Help us breathe new life into the oldest garden club in Newtown! Founded in 1954 we will be 70 years old iin two years!

Thank you for your support,

Kris, Mike and Joan
