Rain gardens with Cynthia Rabinowitz

Cynthia Rabinowitz, Executive Director of the Northwest Conservation District, offered a program on the multiple benefits of a Rain Garden and techniques required to create one in the home yard.
 
The Northwest Conservation District (NWCD) is a local environmental non-profit 501c 3) organization serving 34 municipalities in northwestern Connecticut.  They support the sustainable use of resources and energy; promote ecosystem, watershed and open space planning; and offer advice on the benefits of Low Impact Development techniques.

2019 Annual Gardening Gurus Trade and Swap

This is the 9th annual Gardening Gurus plant and swap in conjuction with Newtown Horticulture Club and Trinity Productions.   It is so much fun to  attend and what you can learn about plants and gardening as we expand and recreate our gardens.. We were under the pavilion at Dickenson Park, Newtown so weather is never a problem.

We are all excited to see our new items thrive. See you Spring 2020 at this wonderful swap!
